Q7. How does communication between ResQPortal and IMS work?

A7. The client connects to ResQPortal, which resides on the Application Server, using HTTP protocol (or HTTPS for secure connection) and any standard port (80 for HTTP). ResQPortal uses a telnet connection (TN3270 or TN5250) to connect to IMS. ResQPortal intercepts and translates all host data, presenting an HTML page to the client.
