Q9. We have an application in CICS. Should we use the CICS or the TN3270 connection standard?

A9. ResQPortal communicates with a TN3270 server. The TN server converts TN3270 data streams into SNA data streams and vice versa. This server can reside on the Mainframe directly or it can be generated from third party SNA Gateway products, such as Microsoft's SNA Server, Novell's SAA for Netware, even IBM's CommServer. ResQPortal does not support SNA connectivity itself.
