BOTHELL, WA —January 25, 2000 - Crystal Point, Inc., the premier provider of PC-to-host solutions in the Compaq/Tandem NonStop™ market, announced today that it is licensing a patented drag-and-drop host rejuvenation technology from ResQNet.com, the leading developer of graphical Java connectivity products. Crystal Point will incorporate ResQNet into a new, web-to-host connectivity software product designed to provide easy browser-based access for Internet or Intranet users to Compaq/Tandem or IBM applications.
Crystal Point’s new application will compliment OutsideView®, the industry’s leading PC-to-Host connectivity product for Tandem NonStop™ systems. While OutsideView allows Windows workstation users to create their own custom workspace with multiple sessions that self start and launch tasks automatically, the new Java-based Web to host solution is designed to enable access to legacy applications to a wide audience, thereby substantially lowering administration and training costs compared to existing systems. By incorporating ResQNet technology, Crystal Point’s new product will be able to automatically translate legacy green screens to a familiar Web graphical user interface, enabling users to access business-critical information quicker and more efficiently.
