Important New Release of ResQ!Net for Host on-Demand to be Unveiled at IBM Pavillion

New York, NY (April 28, 1998)--In conjunction with IBM, Advanced Transition Technologies (AT2) will unveil its newest release of ResQ!Net for Host On-Demand on May 4th at IBM's NetWorld+Interop pavilion in Las Vegas, NV. The Java-based application provides a graphical and customizable portrayal of host application screens while IBM's Host On-Demand delivers the secure connection.

ResQ!Net's newest feature is its ability to preserve the integrity of customized GUI screens when the host application is modified. Changes to the host code can be made freely without having to recreate custom GUI screens for existing data. Even when host code is changed, hidden fields remain hidden while new fields and objects are displayed as customizable defaults-convenient when updating pages on the Internet or when protecting a company's sensitive information.

The two companies' products---Host on-Demand, IBM's secure Java host connectivity package, and Advanced Transition Technologies's ResQ!Net, the automatic GUI---deliver a comprehensive solution to the problem of Web-enabling host applications quickly and cost-effectively as part of an overall enterprise networking enterprise strategy.

"The combination of a robust, secure, Internet-based host connectivity package and an easy-to-use graphical interface is an excellent solution for the Web-enabling needs of IBM's Host On-Demand customers," said Al Zollar, General Manager of IBM's eNetwork Software. "Over 80% of business data still resides on mainframe systems. Host On-Demand with ResQ!Net can extend a company's business reach by making this data easily and securely accessible."

"The list of IBM customers responding enthusiastically is growing rapidly," noted Jim Shapiro, Advanced Transition Technologies's Executive Director, who has been on the road meeting with Fortune 500 companies since the beginning of the year. "Customers as diverse as insurance companies, automobile manufacturers and state governments are all excited about significantly extending the reach of their mainframe and AS/400 applications," he continued.

Tod Yampel, the inventor of the patented technology and Advanced Transition Technologies's President said, "The Java-based solution represented by these products alleviates the need for installing connectivity applications for occasional users, delivering the software instead 'on demand' from a familiar browser environment."

While ResQ!Net for Host On-Demand was specially designed to work with Host On-Demand's new APIs, ResQ! products work equally well with IBM's other emulation packages, including Workspace On-Demand, Personal Communications and Client Access.
