ICOM Informatics & ResQNet Sign Agreement for Host Rejuvenation Technology

AUSTIN, TX - October 22, 2000 - ICOM Informatics, the leader in Web-to-Host connectivity solutions, announced today that it has reached an agreement with ResQNet.com, Inc. to combine the ResQNet™ drag-and-drop host rejuvenation technology with its comprehensive Winsurf Mainframe Access (WMA) Web-to-Host connectivity software.

WMA, a genuine "Swiss Army Knife" of host connectivity from ICOM Informatics, includes all available web-to-hosts access methods: Windows or browser-based emulation, automatic on-the-fly HTML conversion, and full n-tier rejuvenation on multiple servers, using ActiveX or Java technologies to IBM, Unix and Bull host systems. With the integration of the ResQNet drag-and-drop rejuvenation technology, users of IBM S390, AS/400 and Bull hosts will be able to web enable their existing applications in an extremely short time and with very little effort.

The ResQNet technology enables "on-the-fly" graphical presentation of legacy host applications via intranets, extranets and the Internet. Eliminating the need for programming or scripting, the ResQNet technology adds all of the traditional conveniences of the Windows environment to host-based applications: mouse capability, customizable fonts and colors, macro buttons, drop down lists, valid value and help files, with the ability to export host data to desktop applications. The ResQNet technology extends the boundaries of host applications delivering data for further reformatting and integration with other sources and returning or displaying the results. Advanced macros, comprehensive database access, and LDAP support further extend the capability of the ResQNet technology, enabling administrators to automate and simplify end-user access and operations.

Thierry Fondronnier, President & CEO of ICOM Informatics, declared, "ResQNet technology will be instrumental in helping our customers move quickly and cost effectively benefit from the tremendous opportunities offered by web enabling host applications thereby capturing new markets and improving their competitiveness."

"This agreement with ICOM Informatics confirms ResQNet’s position of excellence as the standard for host rejuvenation," commented Jim Shapiro, Executive Vice President of Business Development at ResQNet. "ICOM Informatics will not only reinforce our market grip in the US, but their strong presence in Europe increases our worldwide market coverage."
