Advanced Transition Technologies (AT2), Inc. Announces Full Support For Newest Release of The Java™ Development Kit

New JDK™ Software Provides a Solid Foundation for the Development and Deployment of Mission-Critical Solutions

New York, NY., December 8, 1998 - Advanced Transition Technologies (AT2), Inc. announced its full support of Sun Microsystems, Inc.'s release of Java™ Development Kit (JDK) version 1.2. The latest release of the JDK provides a rich feature set of new class libraries and tools, making it easier than ever for developers to create portable, distributed enterprise-class applications. Sun's announcement of the availability of the next version of the JDK was made during the JavaSM Business ExpoSM in New York.

Some of the other features of JDK version 1.2 that will figure prominently in the ResQ!Net suite of products are JDBC enhancements, Java IDL and security related tools for signing JAR files and working with keys. Also, once the Input Method Framework enhancements to text editing components are incorporated into popular browsers, they will facilitate advanced support of support languages that contain double byte characters, such as Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
