Advanced Transition Technologies (AT2), Inc. Introduces ResQ!Net Client:

Customizable, Graphical Internet and Intranet Terminal for IBM Mainframes and AS/400s

New York, N.Y. (Wednesday, March 19, 1997) - Intranets and the Internet are here. Your users want to access all those valuable host systems and want to use them through their Netscape Navigators or Microsoft Explorers. Advanced Transition Technologies is introducing its newest graphical interface product, ResQ!Net at the SHARE conference in San Francisco on March 4. ResQ!Net uses patented screen recognition technology to provide a customizable, graphical terminal for host application users. This exciting new product makes valuable host applications available to users without complex software setup on each workstation. ResQ!Net Client is ideal for occasional users of applications such as filling out salary forms for payroll companies or retrieving information from host databases and library systems.

According to Gad Janay, CEO of Advanced Transition Technologies: "Like other computing environments before it, the world of the Internet and intranets will require a variety of products to support the many different types of users. To meet the differing demands for access to host applications, AT2 now offers solutions for both occasional and regular users. Our graphical user interface ResQ! meets the demand for a desktop-oriented solution for heavy users, while ResQ!Net Client will serve in the same capacity as browser solution for the occasional users."

President Todres Yampel added: "We already provide breakthrough functionality in the Windows world. Now we are doing the same thing for browsers. As the Internet and Intranets mature, many new users will want access to host applications. Service companies can replace paper forms or telephone centers with browser-enabled host applications. This will improve service to customers while generating significant cost savings. We see many large companies having this need. We want to fill it in a cost effective and simple way with ResQ!Net."

ResQ!Net Client is a Java applet that does not require any code located on the client and works with IBM's CICS Java Gateway and Host on Demand. Advanced Transition Technologies also provides its own TCP/IP connectivity to IBM Mainframes, CICS Servers and AS/400s. ResQ!Net works with Java enabled browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Explorer.
