ResQNet.com releases ResQNet 4.0, a new version of its data delivery application for AS/400s, mainframes, and other platforms. ResQNet is a pure Java applet with a graphical interface that requires no scripting or programming to make data from legacy applications available on the Web. Version 4.0 adds a custom applets capability that lets developers merge host data with server applications and send data to servlets or other processing agents. It also introduces Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) support that lets ResQNet retrieve profile-related data from directory servers, a macro facility that lets administrators hide screens and objects and modify host input and that extends the product’s ability to search, sort, and retrieve database contents.
